Safety, Governance & Assurance

GPnav supports care navigation in General Practice. It helps reception and administrative teams direct patients to the most appropriate services, using workflows that have been locally approved. GPnav does not diagnose or provide clinical triage.
GPnav has been developed and operated in line with NHS safety standards for digital health tools:
- DCB0129 Clinical Risk Management: Manufacture and Supply
To support safe use, GPnav has:
- A completed DCB0129 Safety Case
- A Clinical Safety Officer with oversight responsibility (GMC registered)
- A maintained Hazard Log and version-controlled release process
- GPnav Academy training for reception and superusers
- Clear ownership of workflow content by the Practice, with integrated approval process
